Introduction

This article walks through the process of updating your account password for the Field Effect MDR Portal. Updating your password regularly helps keep your account secure and ensures that only authorized users can access your organization's MDR Portal data

Before you Begin

To change your password, you must be able to sign in to your MDR Portal account. If you cannot access your account 

because you have forgotten your password, use the password reset option on the login page instead.

Password Requirements:

• Between 8 and 256 characters
• One digit (1-9)
• At least one lower case character
• At least one upper case character

Change Your Password

1. Sign in to the MDR Portal.
2. Open Account Settings using either:
   • Settings in the sidebar, or
   • Your profile icon in the upper-right corner of the MDR Portal.
3. Select the Sign in & Security tab.
4. In the Password section, click Update
    
5. Enter your current password.
6. Enter your new password.
7. Confirm your new password if prompted.
8. Click Save.

After your password has been successfully updated, you will return to the Account Settings page, and a confirmation message will appear.
